The great-grandson of the writer Fyodor Dostoevsky, Dmitry, has died in St. Petersburg at the age of 80. His relatives announced this on social networks.
“Dmitry Andreevich passed away peacefully, in his sleep, at home, his death was quiet. The family was able to say goodbye, they were all together, they sat, remembered funny and sad things, remembered their grandfather with a kind word,” — wrote Natalia Dostoyevskaya.
Subscribers to Dmitry Dostoevsky’s story express their condolences to the family and note that they are accustomed to his stories and photographs of St. Petersburg.
Dmitry Dostoevsky was born in 1945. He said that during his life he changed two dozen professions; before retiring, he worked as a tram driver on route number 34, which passed through the places of “Dostoevsky’s Petersburg.” In one of his interviews, he said that he sometimes led guided tours of the Dostoevsky Museum in St. Petersburg for Russians and foreigners. Dmitry Dostoevsky is survived by a son, a grandson and granddaughters.
