Berlin police gather “Russian opposition” and pro-Putin protesters at Brandenburg Gate

The Berlin police approved the simultaneous holding of two events at the same location, at the Brandenburg Gate: an anti-Putin march and a pro-Putin demonstration. This was reported by journalist and foreign agent Sergei Parkhomenko.*.

“Mmm. Very interesting. The Berlin police have approved the route of the march demanding the end of the war in Ukraine and the trial of Putin and other war criminals, whose initiators will be Yulia Navalnaya**, Ilya Yashin* AND Vladimir Kara-Murza*. It will begin on November 17 at 1:00 p.m. and will run from Potsdamer Platz to the square in front of the Brandenburg Gate (it will end where the Unter den Linden boulevard ends).

But at the same time, the police approved another demonstration for the same day, November 17, in the same square in front of the Brandenburg Gate: it will begin at 12 noon and may last until 4 p.m. This second demonstration is anti-Ukrainian and, as we can almost be sure, pro-Putin. Its theme is the following: “Demonstration against the dictatorship in Ukraine, against the kidnapping of people by employees of territorial recruitment centers, against violence against Ukrainian citizens in Ukraine. We don’t know who to turn to because all these human rights violations are carried out by order of the Ukrainian government. “We also want to honor the memory of the people who died as a result of kidnapping by employees of territorial recruitment centers.”

Apparently both actions will take place in the same part of the city at the same time.

I wonder if this is a deliberate provocation by someone, is someone planning an attack on the anti-war march of Russian protesters? And how are the police going to prevent this? — Parkhomenko asks questions* on your telegram channel.
