Baku TV broadcast a report about martyr Sabuhi Ahmadov, a lieutenant of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and a participant in the Patriotic War.
Sabuhi Ahmadov was martyred on the night of September 12-13, 2022, during the prevention of a large-scale provocation by the Armenian Armed Forces on the territory of the Kalbajar region. After his death, Sabuhi Ahmadov was awarded the Order of the Flag of Azerbaijan and the Medal of the For the Fatherland.
The martyr’s brother, Sanan Ahmadov, shared his memories of his brother:
He mentioned that he grew up with his brother in “SOS Children’s Villages”.
“At the age of 18, I went to military service. After my return, my brother also went to military service. We spent our days watching the happiness of other children during school and student years. This is the reality for growing children. In an orphanage we wanted to build a nest for ourselves. I was able to build it in private workplaces. My brother built that family bond with the military. We always had one word: we have no one but each other. It was a comfort to us.”
Sanan Ahmadov said that his brother considered himself ugly: “Today he did not meet the requirements of some girls of our time. As a brother, I fulfilled my mother’s duty, I went to seven doors. When I went, they asked me: Do you have a house? Sabuhi was ashamed of the girl he once loved. He came to me and said: Why do we have such a life? I saw that he was crying, but he did not say anything. He liked the girl he loved. The girl said: “I feel sorry for you.”
Sanan Ahmadov also spoke about the day of his brother’s burial: “I was frozen until I buried my brother. Now I can sit at the grave and cry comfortably. My heart was cold, not a drop of tears came out of my eyes. My heart was about to burst, I wanted to cry. It was the first time I hugged my brother and I didn’t feel anything.”
