How long will Durov remain in France?

According to the court’s supervision, Pavel Durov has been banned from leaving France until March 2025. He is reported to be paying the five million euro bail in instalments.

Oku.Az reports that habr.com published information on this matter.

According to the information, with the consent of the parties in court, Durov immediately paid the court one million euros at the end of August. The founder of “Telegram” will pay the rest of the money between 500 and 800 thousand euros every month.

The court reportedly agreed to accept the remaining four payments in five monthly installments. During this time, Durov will be under judicial supervision, subject to police checks every few days and will not be allowed to leave the country.

If investigators prove that Durov was involved in illegal transactions, he could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison and fined 500,000 euros.

It should be recalled that Pavel Durov was arrested on 24 August at Le Bourget airport in Paris. The decision to arrest Durov was taken because he did not cooperate with French security forces. He is accused of involvement in drug trafficking and other serious crimes. Durov is a French citizen and cannot be exchanged or extradited.
