Quarantine imposed due to anthrax in the village of Ulken Aksu in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan.
Oku.AzAccording to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, on September 5, the Veterinary Laboratory of the Republic received the results of bacteriological studies confirming the presence of anthrax in samples taken from two cattle.
“Import and export of live animals and livestock products is prohibited. The territorial veterinary inspection, together with veterinarians of local executive authorities, conducts door-to-door checks of animals, vaccinates and explains to animal owners,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The Republican anti-epizootic team of the Ministry of Agriculture has been sent to the area to carry out eradication measures, including disinfection. We have the necessary specialized personnel and special equipment,” the officials said.
