The seventh edition of the Navarre LAN Partywhich was inaugurated this Thursday, September 5, will bring together, until Sunday, September 8, more than 400 people in the Public University of Navarre (UPNA).
The technology event, organized by the Navarrese Association for the Diffusion of Technology (ANDITEC) and the academic institution, includes a concert by pianist and streamer Elesky, who will perform different musical pieces from legendary video games and series. The performance will take place tomorrow, Friday, from 8 p.m. at the Pavilion of the University of Navarra with free admission until capacity is reached.
THE Navarre LAN Party It is sponsored by the Government of Navarre, the City Council of Pamplona, Tracasa Global and Tracasa Instrumental, Naudit, Gasteiz Electronic Components and Lacturale. In addition, Proquo, Bequant and PC Box Irún collaborate.
In the official opening, Edurne Barrenechea Tartas, Vice-Rector of Digital Development of the Public University of Navarra, participated; Patricia Fanlo Mateo, Minister of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Government of Navarra; Mikel Armendáriz Barnechea, Delegate Councilor for Economic Promotion, European Projection, Innovation, Youth and Development Cooperation of the City Council of Pamplona; and Iñigo Aguas Ardaiz, President of ANDITEC.
Two activity spaces
The University Pavilion of Navarre, where the Navarre LAN Partyconsists of two areas. On the one hand, there is the “Party Place”, where 400 computer stations with high-speed Internet browsing have been installed and where the e-sports competitions will take place with broadcast on Twitch and other competitions, which will distribute 3,000 euros in prizes.
The organization has prepared a program with tournaments of, among others, Super Smash Bros, FIFA, Tekken and Rocket Leaguein addition to other digital creativity competitions (photo editing, 3D creation, music or video games).
On the other hand, the “Open space“, with free and open access today, tomorrow and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and where you can try consoles and driving simulators and live virtual reality experiences, in addition to having a 3D printing space and hosting technological conferences. In this space will take place the Elesky concert, scheduled for tomorrow Friday.
This year, thanks to Navarro Youth Institute, More than a hundred young people were able to attend this meeting in a more economical way, since, in possession of the European Youth Card of Navarre, they were offered the possibility of benefiting from a reduction of ten euros on the price of the pass for the four days. and five euros for the day tickets.
