Half on the ground, half in the sky: China has officially unveiled its innovative flying car

Chinese company XPeng has officially unveiled its innovative flying car called Land Aircraft Carrier.

About this Oku.Az reported with reference to mobile-review.com.

The unique design is said to consist of two parts: the main part is a 5.5-meter-long three-axis car, and the second part is a large passenger drone that can be automatically attached to the car.

According to the information, the vehicle part of the “Land Aircraft Carrier” is built on a modern platform with a voltage of 800 V and is equipped with a hybrid power unit, which provides a range of up to 1,000 kilometers with a full charge and refueling. Thanks to the fast charging system, the car can accumulate 80% of the energy reserve in just 18 minutes.

The second part of this futuristic vehicle, the large passenger drone, can land automatically and connect to the car. The drone can carry two passengers both in automatic mode and with manual control. It was noted that the device can make five flights on one charge.

XPeng is already planning to receive an order for the Land-based Aircraft Carrier this year worth $280,000, and mass production is planned for 2026.

However, it remains unclear when aviation regulators will approve this revolutionary technology and whether drivers will need a pilot’s license.
