“Tatars of Crimea” is afraid of the abandonment of their homeland to Russia in any peace agreement
When the Ukrainian Lenna Amruf moved to Russia on the path of visiting her sick father, with her original homeland at the end of 2022, the authorities detained her and forced her to remove what she described as a “whirlwind” of charges and prison transport during the period, which lasted almost two years.
This test, which included the periods of single conclusion, turned into the embodiment of a sense of shock in the whole generation for Amrova, which 27 years old, belonging to the Crimean Tatars community, and they are the original residents of the island with views of the Black Sea, which Russia from Ukraine in 2014.
“It was very difficult, because I was constantly in my cell and tried (Russians) repeatedly filling my mind and received their propaganda,” Amruf said. Initially, administrative charges were then accused of espionage, accusations that they had denied.

Amrufa grew up, listening to his grandmother’s stories about how to deport her family in 1944, with hundreds of thousands of Crimea, to distant Central Asia, based on the orders of the Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, accused of conspiracy with the Nazis, despite the struggle for a number of Tatars, including its older grandfather in the rank of army.
Thousands of people died from the disease or hunger, and the Tatars were not allowed to return to Crimea until the 1980s. Now Amruf is afraid that Crimea will be recognized as part of Russia as part of the final peace agreement with Ukraine, the script that the Trump administration in the United States indicated the possibility of its appearance.
Amruf said: “For many years, the enemy himself is harmful to our family … If we are not fighting now and will not overcome it, where are the guarantees that my children or my grandchildren will not be subjected to the same treatment?”

She is always present in her grandmother, who refused to speak Russian when she was a little Amrufoy, and the family was flooded with culture and discretion.

Russia will not budge
But Russian President Vladimir Putin said that any settlement to bring the world to Ukraine should include the recognition of Russian sovereignty over the Crimea and four other Ukrainian regions.
Moscow denies that Kyiv confirms that it violates the rights of Tatars and other populations in Crimea. Russia insists that the region is historically connected with it.
The mission of the President of Ukraine to the Crimean Republic, which is controlled independently, indicated that there are about 133 prisoners of Crimea, which Russia is illegally held by Russia.

Moscow included Crimea in 2014, but Kyiv wants to restore it
