The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, met in Bishkek with the head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, who arrived in the Kyrgyz capital on an official visit. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues and the possibility of implementing joint projects in various fields, including investment, energy, infrastructure and tourism.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan stressed the importance of the negotiations that took place the day before between the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during which important bilateral documents were signed, including a joint statement on an expanded strategic partnership between the two countries.
Akylbek Japarov also highlighted the importance of cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTE), noting that its 11th summit will soon begin in Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan will take over the presidency.
He expressed his gratitude to Viktor Orban for his participation in the event.
In turn, the Hungarian Prime Minister highlighted the similarity of opinions between Bishkek and Budapest on many issues, including the strengthening of comprehensive ties, as well as the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation.
He stressed that Hungary supports Kyrgyzstan in its development aspirations and is ready to find common ground in priority sectors of cooperation to implement mutually beneficial projects.
The parties expressed confidence in the further development of friendly relations between the two countries.
In addition, an exchange of views took place on the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union, taking into account the current Hungarian presidency of the Council of Europe.
