About opera singer Maria Maksakova, who fled Russia and is a staunch supporter of Ukraine* The court has initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 280.4 of the Criminal Code (Public calls for activities directed against state security). This was reported by the Telegram channel Baza.
“In August 2023, her interview with the Ukrainian TV channel Now appeared on Maria’s YouTube channel, where, according to investigators, the former MP called on people to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine and discredited the goals of the SVO.” – says the publication.
It was this interview that led to the initiation of a criminal case. According to the Telegram channel, the maximum penalty provided for in this article can be six years in prison.
