A 19-year-old man has been arrested by the Madrid Municipal Police for allegedly repeatedly assaulting his partner’s 7-month-old son. The events occurred around 10 pm on Wednesday, September 4, at the exit of the Aviación Española metro station, in the Latina neighborhood, as reported by a spokesperson for the National Police.
The aforementioned sources report that the couple were leaving the subway, that she had used an elevator because she was carrying a stroller and that he had used the stairs while carrying the baby in his arms. It was when they were leaving the subway that the baby’s mother realized that the little girl had been hit on the head. When he asked his partner what had happened, he told her that the baby had fallen.
However, it was the security cameras that revealed that the young man had hit the baby several times. The attacker was therefore arrested by the Madrid Municipal Police and the National Police are investigating these events. When Samur arrived, the emergency services confirmed that the injuries were not due to a fall and he was transferred in serious condition to the San Carlos hospital.
As published by ABC, the name of this 19-year-old is Mohamed was born in Leganés and when the event occurred he went to his parents’ house. The aforementioned media also publishes that the explanation given by Mohamed to the authorities is that he suffers from anxiety and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but that he lacks medical guidelines.
