In the Moscow region, police have detained a woman suspected of attacking an Izvestia journalist, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region reported.
“A local resident was detained in Vidnoye on suspicion of hooliganism and assaulting a journalist. The investigative bodies of the Main Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region have opened a criminal case against a 35-year-old woman on suspicion of hooliganism and obstructing the lawful activities of an employee of the Izvestia Medical Center by using violence (Part 2 of Article 213, Part 3 of Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” – the message said.
According to the investigation, on September 4, at the entrance of one of the residential buildings in the Leninsky district, a media employee was filming an editorial assignment related to recording the illegal actions of a local resident who regularly violates public order and enters into conflicts with neighbors. The troublemaker assaulted the journalist using physical force.
The woman will be charged soon.
