Nikol Pashinyan to attend BRICS summit in Kazan

Armenia will participate in the BRICS summit at the level of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the country’s government press service reported on September 6.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan The day before, he announced that Armenia would participate in both the BRICS summit and the unofficial CIS summit.

The BRICS summit will be held in Kazan on October 22-24, and an unofficial summit of CIS countries is planned to be held on the eve of the Victory Parade in Moscow.

As reported, the President of Azerbaijan was also invited to the Kazan summit. Ilham AliyevAzerbaijan officially submitted its application to join BRICS on August 20, the second day after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Baku.

The BRICS presidency passed to Russia on January 1, 2024, will last until the end of the year and includes more than 250 events. The main event will be the BRICS summit in October 2024 in Kazan.
