Armenia and Georgia signed a statement supporting Putin’s arrest

Armenia and Georgia have signed a Council of Europe statement supporting the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Oku.Az reports that the document was published on the Council of Europe website.

According to the press service, the statement reflects the foundations for resolving the most important issues related to the conflict in Ukraine.

The document was accepted by the Ministers of Justice of the Council of Europe member states and observers at a meeting chaired by Lithuania. The principles listed in the document have the character of a recommendation.

Along with Armenia and Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine and Moldova, as well as the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Great Britain and several other countries supported the statement.

Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia and Serbia did not support the document.
