War will gain momentum – Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Kassem

In his latest speech, Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem made very aggressive statements, emphasizing that the group will continue to intensify attacks against Israel until it is forced to begin negotiations for a peaceful settlement.

Israel Info writes about this.

He stressed that Hezbollah does not have unattainable objectives in Israeli territory and that the war will only gain momentum. According to Kassem, hostilities will not cease at the group’s initiative, but only when Israel requests it.

It is worth noting that at the time Kassem was in Iran, where he had been for about a month.

Qassem assured his followers that Hezbollah has everything it needs to continue the war with Israel: well-trained fighters and weapons.

He noted that the outcome of the conflict will depend solely on developments on the ground and in the air, including the use of missiles. He said the group has no choice but to move toward victory, even despite the high price paid by both militants and Lebanese civilians. He stated that this was a sacrifice that had to be made to achieve victory, as, in his opinion, surrender would be the worst outcome.

At the same time, Qasem did not say anything about the possibility of making concessions to end the conflict. He added that any indirect negotiations with Israel would only be possible if hostilities ended and Lebanese sovereignty was fully respected, not to mention the obligation to withdraw beyond the Litani River, as required by UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Hezbollah’s secretary general also drew attention to the dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Galant, which, in his opinion, would indicate Prime Minister Netanyahu’s weakness.

Qassem noted that the Israeli leader is not capable of winning based solely on violence and crime. In his opinion, Netanyahu cannot even count on the full support of his people, while Hezbollah draws strength from its faith in Allah.
