She said her son was born in 2018 with a diagnosis of closed spina bifida:
“Amina is six years old. She has already had three major operations in her short life. Her spina bifida was removed when she was one, her kidneys when she was two and her legs when she was three. Amina’s biggest problem: “At the moment her kidneys are only functioning at 15%. Doctors say that if we don’t do the treatments in time, this percentage will drop even further and the situation will get worse.”
The young mother said that Amina currently needs 1,700 manats for her surgery.
“We have been to Iran many times for my daughter’s treatment. Since Amina cannot urinate on her own, I have to insert a catheter into her every day. Still, she remains bedridden, unable to walk or play. Currently, Amina needs to have a catheter inserted into her urethra. The operation will be performed in Georgia, for which we need 1,700 manats. I have two children and my wife has left us.”
