The RFEF Electoral Commission prohibits Pedro Rocha from running again for the presidency of the Federation

Pedro Rocha will not be able to run in the RFEF elections which will take place on December 16. This is what the Federation Electoral Commission decided on the basis of Article 5 of Order EFD/42/2024 of January 25.

The text establishes that “it constitutes a specific condition of eligibility that the person is not disqualified from exercising management or representation functions in the sporting field by a final administrative resolution issued by the competent disciplinary body, nor from be disqualified from exercising public or representative functions by a final judicial decision, nor is she disqualified from the sporting field by a final resolution of a sports court, a national or international federation.

Miguel Ángel Galán, president of CENAFE, warned the Superior Sports Council on Tuesday; to the administrative court; Electoral Commission; General Secretariat and Legal Department of the RFEF, that Pedro Rocha is disqualified because he is accused of corruption, conditions for which a candidate cannot run.

This Wednesday, the Federation sent a sworn declaration to all candidates wishing to run in the RFEF elections in which they must sign that they are not disqualified by a final administrative resolution.
