The signing ceremony took place on Friday, July 4, during the Picnic of Independence Day, organized by the president for military families.
Trump laid out most of his speech to praise the Air Force for “one of the most successful military attacks in history” before distracting attention to the economy.
“When we are approaching the 250th anniversary of the creation of America exactly a year later, we create an economy that produces wealth for the middle class, sovereign and safe borders and unsurpassed military, unsurpassed everywhere in the world,” Trump said.
“This bill will contribute to large-scale economic growth and appoint hardworking citizens who force this country to work … Our country will become a rocket, economically,” he added.
The ceremony followed a subtle vote in the United States, which adopted the law the day before.
