Boris Johnson, who persistently promoted his book, was taken off the air

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was removed from the country’s “Channel 4” television program for persistently promoting his memoirs “Unleashed.”

Oku.Az “Politico” reported on it.

It should be noted that a few minutes after the start of the television program dedicated to the presidential elections in the United States, B. Johnson picked up his book and then constantly referred to it in his conversation with the presenter. The former prime minister noted that the answers to the presenter’s questions about Ukraine and the possibility of returning to politics can be found in his memoirs.

When the presenter asked him to put the book down, Johnson refused and said:

“There’s nothing you can do to stop me… I have the right to advertise my book.”

B. Johnson left the studio during the show’s break and the host explained the reason for his dismissal by talking too much about his book.

It should be noted that the memoirs of the former Prime Minister of Great Britain called “Unleashed” were published in October 2024. The book tells about his activities as mayor of London, participant in the campaign organized for Britain’s exit from the EU, minister of Foreign Affairs and prime minister of the kingdom. According to The Guardian, the widely publicized book was a bestseller, selling around 42,000 copies in its first week of publication, but sales fell 62% the following week.
