A week and a day after a fateful flood devastated everything in its path in Letur, this small town of Albacete of just over 900 inhabitants in the Sierra del Segura, today mourns the death of six of its neighbors whom the force of the water carried to the end. their life. He reported it once again, during his umpteenth appearance before the media, on delegate of the Government of Castile-La Mancha in the province of Albacete, Pedro Antonio Ruiz Santoswho, with regret and after giving the news to relatives, reported that the six bodies, in principle, of the six who disappeared after the passage of the DANA have already been found.
These last two bodies, as explained by Ruiz Santos, which is the political position that coordinates information in the forward command post located at the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción school in the city, were located at a great distance from the urban center of Letur, approximately 12 kilometers. Concretely, one of them appeared near the place where that of Antonia, the septuagenarian found last Sunday, was found, and the other a kilometer earlier.
A few hours before, after 3 p.m., the identification of the body appeared 24 hours ago, Tuesday afternoon, which was that of Jonathan Muñoz, 38 years old and originally from Archena (Murcia), husband of Mónica, the woman who disappeared with him due to the floods.
It also remains to be known the identity of the human remains found Monday evening on the Rambla de Letur and extracted this Tuesday with another body, which are still at the Institute of Forensic Anatomy of Madrid for DNA analysis, the result of which will be known soon.
In the absence of confirmation that the other bodies are those of Mónica and those of the two municipal employees -Juan and Manolo-Jonathan’s death is added to that of Dolores, a 92-year-old neighbor who appeared the day after the flood, on November 30, and to that of Antonia, the other septuagenarian woman sought since the beginning and who was found . last Sunday, November 3, 12 kilometers from the town of Letur, already in the Segura River.
