The UGT-FICA Renault-Spain Union Section announced this Wednesday a principle of agreement with the company that they would also have accepted the CSIF and the CSP for the extension of the collective agreement during the year 2025, with an increase in salary scales next year of the CPI plus one percent, with validity of the salary increase clause included in the 2021/24 agreement.
The UGT explained that with the forecast made by the Bank of Spain in September (2.1 percent) a 3.1 percent salary increase would be obtained in January. The principle of agreement also provides for 100 contracts of indefinite duration, which will be carried out during the year 2025; as well as a relief contract for workers who meet the legally established requirements.
The UGT also indicates that the Disability plan remains under the same conditions as the 2021-2024 agreement. In addition, she announced flexible remuneration, and that the company will launch the system during the first quarter so that all workers who wish can take advantage of it to take out health insurance; dining hall vouchers for those who have a split day; and job-related training.
In addition, leasing will have more advantageous conditions for employees belonging to the Renault group, with products that will be detailed before the end of the year.
The company undertakes to maintain the working conditions and licenses included in the 2024 agreement, including the annexes included in the Social Plan, where the continuity of the Madrid headquarters is guaranteed; product and process engineering; Disability scheme; bonuses and bonuses; relief contract; individual contribution bonus; and seniority bonus.
This principle of agreement must be ratified by the affiliated assemblies, convened in the coming days.
“Ridiculous proposals”
For its part, CCOO criticized the fact that the union organizations UGT, CSIF and SCP accepted a proposed collective agreement “with minimal improvements” for Renault workers and ignored their demands, as well as those of the CGT and the YOU.
The meeting to negotiate the collective agreement began this morning and continued until after 6 p.m., including four hours of breaks during which CCOO, as they indicated, “tried to form a common platform to bring together the demands of the six unions and let’s fight together. » “The UGT and the SCP, at the end of the afternoon, stood out. Finally, the union representatives of the UGT, the CSIF and the SCP accepted the company’s ridiculous proposals,” they added.
CCOO representatives say they “are perplexed” by this agreement concluded “in record time”: only six hours of meetings while “it always takes months and numerous meetings to negotiate it”. “Reaching an agreement under these conditions is an exercise in irresponsibility, to ignore all the problems to which all staff have been subjected in recent years is to disrespect the workers,” they argued.
Furthermore, the diamond brand welcomed the consensus and stressed that the increase in wages was at the center of the debate during this second meeting of the Negotiating Commission during which the company once again expressed its desire to sign an extension while maintaining current working conditions. “After a long day of negotiation”, the company proposed to extend the agreement for another year, with this salary increase in addition to maintaining the rest of the concepts and bonuses established in the collective agreement. Thus, it considers that the content “improves the current conditions” of its employees.
