3,500-year-old artifacts were found in ancient Troy

An arrowhead, a die and a 3,500-year-old business have been found during excavations in the ancient city of Troy in Turkey. The work was carried out by specialists from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMU) with the permission of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Oku.Az reports this with reference to Anadolu Agency.

Troy is located around the village of Tevfikiye, near the city of Çanakkale. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Official archaeological works began here in the 1870s. Since then, numerous archaeological discoveries have been made on the territory of the ancient city.

Professor Rüstem Aslan, a lecturer at CHOMU’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, said excavations were carried out this year in different areas of the historic hill, which archaeologists call the “Late Bronze Age fortress.”
