The Zumadia public school in Abárzuza has been renovated to create two new classrooms

Education has completed the expansion work of the Zumadia Public School from the city of Abárzuza who already has two new classrooms. The Department awarded the center expansion works to Construcciones Martínez Sánchez with a completion period of two months and a total price of 494,890.00 euros. The work began on June 21, 2024 and ended this week.

The expansion has come to fruition two new classrooms in a newly created mezzanine which is accessed by an elevator or staircase built also within the framework of this project. It has been consolidated thus an interior extension of the space available in the current buildingoccupying space double height above the dining room and the first bay of the central space of the school.

With that architectural performance it was possible to provide the school two new classroomsconnected by a core of stairs and equipped with an access elevator. This new surface comes to cover the space requirements generated by increased enrollment of the center in recent years. The center welcomes a total of 83 students in this academic year 2024-2025, 30 in the second cycle of Early Childhood and 58 in Primary.

He architectural team in charge of the project and the direction of the works was formed by Ignacio Cordero Fort, Laura Hernández Sanz, Jokine Crespo Garbisu and Santiago Virto Calleja and the person responsible for the execution direction was Magdalena Bengochea Felipe.

The action was possible thanks to the the support of the entire educational community who actively collaborated to complete the work in record time.
