The Vandellós II nuclear power plant (Tarragona) has notified the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) of the “abnormal behavior” of the valve of the steam intake of the auxiliary feedwater turbopump, which did not open completely, the Associació Nuclear Ascó Vandellós (Anav) reported in a statement this Friday.
The technical team of the installation proceeded to intervene on the valve and restore its proper functioning, but as there was a possibility that This abnormal behavior may have been present for more than 72 hours. fixed by the technical operating specifications, it was notified to the CSN on Thursday afternoon.
