The detonation of explosive objects began due to a fire after a drone was extinguished in the Voronezh region, Governor Alexander Gusev said in a Telegram channel.
“Air defence forces on duty and electronic warfare equipment in the Ostrogozhsky region detected and suppressed an unmanned aerial vehicle. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties. However, as a result of the crash of the UAV, a fire broke out, which spread to explosive objects. Detonation has begun.” – wrote.
Gusev said that residents of one village are temporarily evacuated to a neighbouring town. Operational services and representatives of the district administration are working on the scene, the governor said.
Gusev also said that the danger of drone attacks in the region remains.
