They are investigating the former director of the Women’s Institute for the contracts she obtained from PSOE municipalities

The judge responsible for Court of First Instance and Instruction 4 of Mislata accepted the ban issued by the Court of Instruction 7 of Valenciaafter the complaint filed by Clean Hands against the former director of the Women’s Institute, the socialist Isabel García.

The Valencian leader of the PSOE was denounced with a second person for the alleged crimes of prevarication, influence peddling and falsification of a public document, in relation to alleged irregularities. in more than 60 town hall public contracts between 2022 and 2024.

The judge agreed to open preliminary proceedings regarding this complaint and asked the Civil Guard to investigate the events.

Likewise, he ordered that the existence of the complaint be communicated to the accused to inform them of their rights, including the right to appear in the case to learn about it, as confirmed by sources of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV).

The instructor believes, however, that “there is no reason at this time to summon them to testify.” Furthermore, it rejects the participation of the complainants in the investigative procedure on the grounds that they “were not duly constituted as a procedural party”.

Finally, the judge requested a report from the public prosecutor’s office on the territorial jurisdiction of the court to continue the investigation, since the events reported would have occurred not only in the Valencian Community, but also, at least, in Madrid or Gipuzkoa.

The government dismissed Isabel García as director of the Women’s Institute in July, days after EL ESPAÑOL published that the company he shares with his wife had received at least 64 purple point contracts with PSO town hallsE, for which he would have charged around 250,000 euros.

The dismissal of Isabel García took place following criticism from government partner Sumar, who demanded her resignation.

The Valencian politician defended himself at all times against the accusations, claiming to have complied “scrupulously“the law.
