This will be the budget that Madrid City Council will have in 2025 to promote some of the major infrastructure works of the Parliament, expand the housing stock and strengthen social spending. What promises to be the “most invested” budget of the last 16 years will be presented this Thursday by the mayor of the city, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, and the head of Economy, Innovation and Finance, Engracia Hidalgo, after its initial approval. within the board of directors.
In the area of infrastructure, these accounts will help promote some of the major commitments of the Almeida Government team in Parliament, such as the burying of the A-5, on which work has already begun, the last section of the Paseo de La Castellana or the cover of the M-30 near Ventas.
The budget for 2025 will also allow progress in urban development in the southeast of the capital, Madrid Nuevo Norte, or in the consolidation of EMVS as the main developer of social housing in Spain. All this, with a total of 1.130 million euros allocated to social spending that will serve to guarantee the quality of public services provided to citizens.

Focus on housing
In the area of housing, among other actions, work on 11 housing estates will be completed, with a total of 865 properties.
