The State Tax Service (SST), under the Ministry of Economy, imposed financial penalties on another 150 taxpayers engaged in restaurant and retail activities in Baku.
Oku.Az reports that it was informed by the State Tax Service.
It was reported that to avoid cases of non-monetary payments being made through card-to-card transfers instead of POS terminals in retail and catering establishments, control measures continue. In recent days, violations of the law have been discovered at more than 150 such objects during control measures in Baku. Violations of the law were recorded and appropriate financial sanctions were applied.
“Acceptance of non-cash payments should be carried out only through the POS terminal, and in this case citizens must be presented with the receipt from the POS terminal, as well as the check from the cash register. According to current legislation, “Creating the possibility of making electronic payments to consumers is the direct responsibility of taxpayers. Entrepreneurs are subject to financial sanctions not to be left, they must ensure the use of POS terminals during non-cash payments,” the information reads.
It should be noted that yesterday another 120 businessmen who worked with the “Card to Card” method were sanctioned.
