In recent days, a disease that causes severe headaches, fever and nausea has spread among the population. This disease is found in both children and adults. Although it is similar to the symptoms of the flu, it differs in terms of recovery time and rapid spread. According to those infected with the virus, none of the drugs used to treat the flu are effective. Many people cannot get out of bed for days, suffer from weakness and high fever.
Unlike traditional flu, people can only recover after treatment prescribed by a doctor or in a hospital.
Some also claim that it is a new mutated version of the COVID-19 virus.
So what is this virus?
Speaking to Bizim.media, infectious disease expert Vasif Aliyev said there may be hundreds of viruses that cause such symptoms:
“Each person can develop this type of disease due to different viruses. These symptoms can be caused by influenza, coronavirus, adenovirus and many viruses. Moreover, since there is no specific severe epidemic in the country, it can be related to each of them. That is, it cannot be linked to a specific virus and each one can produce the same symptoms.”
