Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov took urgent measures against the epidemic due to the identified case of measles. Interfax reports this.
“At the Faculty of Physics, distance learning is introduced until November 23 inclusive,” the publication says.
All training sessions will be conducted remotely, both in and outside the main faculty building, to prevent the spread of measles and minimize the quarantine period.
The publication clarifies that a case of measles was detected in the student residence of Moscow State University on Lomonosovsky Prospekt.
As reported EADailyEarlier this year, there was an unprecedented increase in the incidence of whooping cough infection in Russia. During last year, from January to October 2023, 27.8 thousand cases of the disease were recorded. Throughout 2022, 3.1 thousand cases of whooping cough were identified in the country, in 2021, 1.1 thousand.
