The second meeting of the Interior Ministers of the member countries of the Turkic States Organization (TSO) will be held in Azerbaijan next year.
Oku.Az According to the press service of the institution, the decision was made based on the results of the first meeting held today in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
The meeting was attended by Azerbaijani Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov, Interior Ministers of Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and TDT Secretary General Kubanichbek Omuraliyev.
Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary General noted that this event will be the basis for the creation of a new and regular cooperation platform between the Ministers of Interior, which will contribute to further strengthening unity and cooperation in the Turkish world.
The ministers then discussed the activities of the institutions in the field of combating transnational organized crime, including terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and human trafficking. The parties stressed the importance of cooperation between internal affairs bodies in combating such crimes.
A Joint Declaration on the results of the meeting was signed and it was decided to hold the second meeting of Interior Ministers in Azerbaijan in 2025.
