Voting in Russian elections proceeding normally: CEC

The situation during the elections in the Russian regions where they have already started is good, voting is taking place as usual.

The commission’s head said that polling stations had already opened in 49 out of 83 regions on September 6. And on September 7, polling stations opened in another 13 regions, where voting is planned for two days.

The chairman of the Central Election Commission reminded that elections for governor are being held in the Murmansk and Chelyabinsk regions, and in 11 other regions elections for candidates for local governments are being held. On Sunday, September 8, elections will be held in 83 regions.

Earlier it was reported that, according to the Central Election Commission, more than two million voters have already cast their votes in Moscow. At the same time, the majority of the capital’s residents (1.85 million people) opted for online voting. Among them was the Prime Minister of Russia. Mikhail Mishustin.
