In the cities of Baku, Ganja and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, professional non-commissioned officers (navy guards) will be trained at special military schools of the National Defense University, which is part of the structure of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
“Report” informs the president about this Ilham Aliyev This is stated in the Decree signed by the President of Azerbaijan on amending Decree No. 2381 of December 14, 2023, “On measures related to promoting education of youth in the military field.”
According to the decree, cadets entering higher educational institutions and military schools, starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, after graduating from such educational institutions and completing 5 calendar years of actual military service as an officer or ensign (midshipman) in the Azerbaijani army, are entitled to a mortgage of the Republic of Azerbaijan and when using a preferential mortgage loan at the expense of the Credit Guarantee Fund, up to 15 percent of the price of the corresponding residential area is financed from the state budget.
According to section 5.1 of the decree, the funds accumulated in the account and the income obtained from the management of those funds are paid in the following cases:
– graduates of higher education institutions and military schools, when they are assigned the position of officer or ensign (midshipman) in the Azerbaijani army and begin to perform that position;
– graduates of military secondary schools – upon entering a higher education institution.
