With the start of the wedding season, there is an increase in the price of meat.
Buyers also report that the price has increased. Sellers say that one of the main reasons for the price increase is the rising cost of fodder and medicines for livestock.
One of the buyers told Baku TV about the price increase: “Can you buy meat for 20 manats? What should a poor man do if he is starving? Before, the price of meat was 15-16 manats, now it is 20 manats. Prices are increasing every day. Should the poor man not eat meat?”
Vendor Elchin Hashimov says that beef currently ranges from 15 to 15.50 manat: “Lamb meat costs 19 to 21 manat. As the prices of fodder and grass for livestock rise, the price of meat inevitably increases. Purchasing power is weak.”
