Police and neighbors manage to stop man from jumping from bridge in Tenerife

The local police of Candelaria (Tenerife) and the residents of the municipality managed to avoid the tragedy by foiling a suicide attempt on the rue des Frères Dominique bridge.

It was a group of citizens who sounded the alarm when they saw a person in risky situation with the intention of jumping from the bridge. They immediately contacted the local police, who sent two officers to the scene.

Thanks to a dialogue between the agents and neighbors and the rapid action of the local police, it was possible to prevent them from acting, thus avoiding a tragic outcome.

Shortly after, a health emergency team transferred this person to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital to receive specialized care.
