Preparations are underway for the resettlement of residents in the returned villages of Gazakh

In the four liberated villages of Gazakh on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border, engineering and technical works have been completed. Preparations are underway for the migration of native residents to the villages.

According to Khezerxeber.az, the works on the Azerbaijani side of the border have already been completed.

Technical and engineering facilities have been installed on both sides to organize border services.

Service posts of the Armenian side were established right next to the villages.

The border line between the village of Khairimli and Armenia has been determined. Barbed wire has been erected on the border with Armenia. It should be noted that when the village was handed over to Azerbaijan, it was the residents of the village opposite who protested the most. Even 12 of their facilities were demolished and the territory was handed over to Azerbaijan. In this direction one can see the daily activities of residents of the nearby village of Kirants due to the proximity of the state border line to residential areas.

The village of Baganis Ayrim, where the worst tragedies against Azerbaijanis took place, remains only in ruins. One of the main transit routes of Armenia passes near this village.

The antiquity of the Eskipara village of Gazakh dates back to the 3rd millennium BC. It is considered one of the oldest settlements in Azerbaijan. This is also confirmed by the ancient Albanian church located in the village.

During the First Karabakh War, demining work was carried out in the village of Gizilhajili, where fierce battles took place. The Armenian side mined this area before the village was returned.

Minatamizla works are being carried out in each of the villages. The surprise mines, considered a crime against humanity, were buried in cemeteries, near historical monuments and at the entrances to houses.

It should be noted that the delimitation of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia was carried out on the basis of the agreement reached on April 19, 2024. As a result of the delimitation works, a border line with a length of 12.7 kilometers was determined. Today, the Azerbaijani border guard provides reliable border protection at all command points of the territory.
