In early October, RM Sotheby’s will auction off a rare and unique item: a Packard automobile assembled 122 years ago.
Oku.Az auto.ru reported about this.
Packard only produced four examples of the Model G, but only one has survived to this day.
Its distinctive feature is a powerful two-cylinder engine. The approximate price of a “supercar” from the beginning of the 20th century will be 500-600 thousand dollars.
This open-body vehicle with a wheelbase of 2.3 metres and an additional door at the rear can seat eight passengers. Another unusual design feature is the two fuel tanks located at the front and rear.
The car has had five owners so far, the last owner being a family who has owned the car for 87 consecutive years. The car has been fully restored and is now, in theory, usable.
