Jorge Diaz42-year-old basketball player, was confirmed as one of the victims of the DANA in the Valencian Community.
Díaz, married and father of two children, had been missing since last Tuesday, upon his return to Godelleta and a flood reached him.
He Turís Basketball Club issued a statement regretting the sad news: “Our condolences for the loss of Jorge Díaz Mullor, player of the Turís Basketball Club, following the tragic consequences of DANA”.
“It’s impossible to think that this would hit us so closely. It’s been an exhausting few days searching for our companion and friendbut finally the news was confirmed,” adds the text.
