Baku TV prepared a report from the Balakhani industrial park within the framework of the “COP-BAKU” project.
It was noted that the advantage of the Baku solid household waste incinerator plant and other plants located in the Balakhani industrial park is that raw materials and production are located in the same area. Therefore, there is no need for additional transportation costs for entrepreneurs.
It was highlighted that the energy obtained from the burning of waste in the Baku domestic solid waste incinerator plant, which operates in a fully automated manner, is capable of supplying electricity to approximately 100,000 homes, that is, a city the size of Ganja. Another interesting aspect of the installation is the self-locking mechanism.
So if too much harmful gas is released into the air, the plant stops working immediately because it is controlled by an intelligent system.
It was also noted that smoke from the site, which was once called the “Balakhani garbage dump”, posed an ecological threat to the capital for many years. Now, a modern sanitary landfill and the Balakhani solid household waste sorting plant operate on the site of that landfill.
