He Ministry of Industry and of Ecological and digital transition of businesses of the Government of Navarra dedicated 1.17 million euros to the project imitateAIto develop industrial robots of precision with artificial intelligence based on the learning by imitation.
Included in the call for strategic R&D projectsthe project was developed by seven companies and entities: BSH Household Appliances Spain, Gestamp Navarre, SKF Spanish, Satélec, Industrial Association of Navarra, Neuraptc And Public University of Navarra.
A new solution has been studied robotics capable of adapting its movement “in a manner autonomous And accurate in changing environments typical of the industry”, so that the robot “is able to understand and imitate the way a person solves a task and, subsequently, imitate it”.
The new ones algorithms and methodologies artificial intelligence “they will be very useful, for example, in the processes of weldingwhere high precision is required in three-dimensional objects“.
The research was based on three real cases of the industry: data integration of different origin in the management of the operation (case of welding of tubes of BSH), integration of a larger volume of data to achieve high dimensional precision (riveting operation of Gestamp) and element management flexible (collection of SKF cables).
