That of December (which will last until January) will be a decisive test in which Lobato risks continuing to lead the party in Madrid and in which he will face great mayors of municipalities of Madrid who, little by little, began to raise their voices to seek to present an alternative candidacy.
After being confronted with Javier Ayala, mayor of Fuenlabradawas the leader of Getafe, Sara Hernández, who assured that “he will work for an alternative candidacy to Lobato”. The problem ? That Lobato’s opponents do not have a guaranteed candidate.
The municipal councilor of one of the great socialist cities of Community of Madrid and the great mayor of the PSOE (in Fuenlabrada, the Popular Party has never governed) have already publicly expressed their opposition to Lobato continuing to lead the PSOE in Madrid. In his statements, Hernández assured that he was not going to discover “anything new” if he said that “in Madrid we can do things differently.” “As mayor, I feel a little helpless. I would have liked to have more support from my Madrid colleagues,” she criticized.
Given these positions, Lobato recognized this Thursday in the corridors of the Madrid Assembly that having an opposition is something “logical” and that having “different options” strengthens “the organization”.

It remains to be determined who will lead the opposition to Juan Lobato because, even if there are great mayors behind them who openly support a candidacy, none is ready to put themselves forward.

With the possibility of having an alternative candidate more than assured, the dates of the Executive Committee will last until mid-January.
The process will open on December 5 and applications will be submitted until the 7th. It will be then that Lobato will know if he has a rival and his name. A day later, the process will open for candidates to present their support. Process which will end on the 16th.
Then, from December 18 to January 10, the candidates will campaign.
