In Amsterdam, there were violent attacks against Israeli fans after a soccer match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and local club Ajax. As a result of these events, dozens of people were injured, many of them seriously. Social media has been flooded with videos showing groups of people, often wearing Palestinian masks and flags, attacking Israelis.

Witnesses report incidents of knife threats, as well as being forced to shout pro-PA slogans. This attack, according to many, seemed like a carefully planned action.
Dutch authorities have mobilized more than 600 police officers to protect Israeli citizens sheltered in various locations in Amsterdam, but the situation remains only partially under control. Among those detained are citizens of Türkiye and Iran, and a total of 65 people have already been detained.
The Israeli consul confirmed that the injured Israelis are in Amsterdam hospitals and that two people are considered missing. Israel is taking steps to protect its citizens abroad.
In response to these developments, Israeli authorities asked their citizens in Amsterdam to take greater precautions. Recommendations include avoiding walking around the city, not displaying symbols, and immediately contacting the police or consulate in case of threats.
Israelis are also advised to return home as soon as possible. One of the Israelis who found himself at the center of these events noted that he experienced what they talked about in school as events that, it seemed, would never happen again.
“Cursor” wrote that the US special representative for anti-Semitism wrote that the attack in Amsterdam “looks like a classic pogrom.”
