A jury The trial for one of the most cruel crimes committed in Elche, the murder of several gunshots and stab wounds from a old octogenarian, including one women with the complicity of a son he was a minor at the time.
The death occurred on the afternoon of May 4, 2022 at the victim’s home, located in the rural area of Maitino when – according to the prosecution – the two accused attacked their victim without giving him the opportunity to defend himself after shooting him three times with a gun and stick a knife in the area of the left hemothorax, as reported by sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV).
The prosecution claims that the woman committed the crime in concert with her son, who is being tried in juvenile court for the events.
A few hours later – still according to the version of the public prosecutor -, in the early hours of the following day, the alleged murderer and to eliminate the evidence dew with essence yours carwhich he had used to go to the deceased’s home and set it on fire fire on a street in Alicante, causing the flames to spread and affect other parked vehicles.
The prosecution is provisionally requesting a sentence of 25 years old of prison for a crime of murder and another of three years in prison for a crime of Shame by fire.
The trial is taking place in Section 11 (Elche) of the Provincial Court of Alicante and will continue throughout the week until Friday, September 13.
