Joe Biden has been on vacation for 40% of his presidency. On Saturday, August 31, the president relaxed on the beach in Rehoboth Beach, for his 16th consecutive weekend away.
The New York Post writes about this, citing data from the Republican National Committee.
According to media reports, Biden took 532 days off out of a possible 1,326 working days, which is about 40% of his presidential term. By comparison, Donald Trump, the previous president, spent only 26% of his time on vacation – 381 days out of 1,461 days in office.
The outlet also added that the average American with 11 days of vacation a year would have to work 48 years to accumulate as many days off as Biden has already taken. This sparked a wave of criticism against him.
The former White House adviser in the Trump administration said he believes the country faces serious economic problems, such as rising inflation and borders overcrowded with illegal immigrants, but Biden chooses to continue his vacation, ignoring them.

Comparing Biden with previous presidents, the media highlighted that Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan took only 11% of their terms, and Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, took almost no vacations, only 79 days in four years, which is only 5% of his term.
Previously, Cursor reported that Biden is obsessed with the war in Gaza after dropping out of the presidential race.
