Two women and the baby of one of them, aged just over a year, were injured this Sunday afternoon in knocked down by a National Police car in the centre of Madrid. One of the women was seriously injured, while the mother and her baby were admitted to several hospitals, the minor is with a reserved prognosis.
The accident occurred around 4:10 p.m., at the intersection of Narváez and Alcalá streets, the Madrid police and emergency services informed. The police patrol was heading to the area around the accident site in response to a request for support from other police officers who were trying to arrest a man who had assaulted another person and that he continued with a violent attitude.

The police car eventually pulled up onto the sidewalk and hit three peopletwo women and the baby of one of them. The Municipal Police has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances in which the accident occurred.
