The results of the United States presidential elections are a protest against the policies of the Democrats led by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. This was stated by the former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and now president of the Permanent Commission of the Council of the Republic for International Affairs and National Security, Sergei Aleinik.
“Voting in the United States, as we see, is a protest. Around 70% of the population of this country is extremely dissatisfied with the domestic policy followed by the Biden administration and that Harris could obviously follow. Therefore, in this case we are facing a clear and pronounced protest vote in the US elections.” – said.
According to him, “the facade of both the European Union and the United States needs repair, not just cosmetic, but important.”
“We see that the EU is far from being the paradise that Mr. Josep Borrell: many economic problems, deindustrialization, unemployment (the last layoff of 19 thousand people from the Volkswagen plant in Germany), immigration crisis. “All this indicates that the European Union and its attractiveness are becoming more and more elusive.” – Alenik emphasized.
Let us remember that in the previous US presidential elections, according to official data, Donald Trump won. The Belarusian authorities have already congratulated the Republican, calling him a “hero.”
