The storms will hit on Friday, November 8, at the end of the day, in Hérault and Aude, with the risk of flooding in these two departments placed under orange watch by Météo-France from 6 p.m. Precipitation is expected in the plain and on the coast, the press release states.

The storms will last “much of the night from Friday to Saturday” and accompany “Heavy rains with hourly intensities that reach between 50 and 60 mm/h”underlines Météo-France, specifying that “The accumulated rainfall for this stormy episode can reach 80 to 120 mm [et] locally 150/180 mm ».

Bouches-du-Rhône, Var, Gard, Corsica and Pyrénées-Orientales are also on yellow alert for storms, but of lower intensity.
