Although Aston Martin is one of the worst teams of the Formula 1 season, its boss, Mike Krackmaintains hope. He is convinced that everything can change by 2025. And this is because of the new wind tunnel with which the green team will start working.
This is what the team boss says in statements on the Aston Martin website: “When I look back and see the big picture, things are going well. The AMR25 looks encouraging in the wind tunnel…”
“We have managed to attract some of the brightest minds in sport, such as Andy Cowell, Adrien Newey and Enrico Cardile, to join our team; we have new facilities operational all the time; and the project to build the team of the future is progressing at a good pace,” explains the Luxembourger.
Because despite the constant problems, Krack continues to defend that the direction is the right one: “There are a lot of things underway that convince me that we are moving in the right direction, hence my confidence. “We are much better than last year because we learned a lot.”
“For next year, the immediate goal is to start the season in a better place than where we started this year and, from what we hope will be a solid platform, to make good decisions development and to continually develop the car to make improvements,” says the Aston Martin man.
It will be a year of transition because the moment of truth comes with the new regulations, in 2026. In addition, it will be the car already designed by Adria Newey. A real opportunity for Fernando Alonso to fight for the long-awaited 33rd victory.
“It’s going to be a special season because the change to work on the 2026 car and the new regulations will arrive soon. My opinion is that we won’t see anyone bring anything new to the track after the summer break, unless there is a big fight for the title,” Krack said.
