Every day they go out 3,000 tonnes of waste areas most affected by DANA; where trash and personal effects still accumulate in the streets of Valencia. The question and problem is what to do with all this garbage. This is why it was decided to create a macro-landfill, which occupies the area of some 25 football fields, where, against the clock, all this waste is crushed.
Household appliances, furniture, objects of all kinds and rotten food accumulate in mountains of garbage in this place. macro-dischargein which they try to give way to almost 3000 tonnes of waste per day which are generated every day. “Here, the waste is unloaded, separated and crushed,” he reports. The landfill occupies 25 football fields andThey want it to work 24 hours a day. The objective is to put an end as quickly as possible to the piles of decomposing organic waste which accumulate in the streets of the municipalities concerned and which are beginning to pose a real problem of unsanitary conditions. In each city they have installed containers and limited areas on the outskirts to dispose of all this waste and, from there, little by little, they move it to the new landfill, where every day three trucks shred it. 1,500 tonnes of waste. It is the largest waste management operation in the history of Spain.
