The Security Council of Belarus observes constant provocations and incidents of various kinds, primarily on the state border of the republic and the Union State with Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic states, said State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich.
“A new element of the situation is the constant provocations and incidents of various kinds, primarily on the state border of the Republic of Belarus and the Union State. Most often they come from the Ukrainian side, as well as from the territory of Poland and the Baltic states.” – Volfovich said in an interview with the magazine Defensa Nacional.
According to him, one of the most recent and high-profile examples is the incursion of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles into the territory of Belarus, some of which were shot down by the country’s air defence forces.
“The remaining targets were transferred to Russian escort and were also successfully destroyed by the Russian air defense system.” – said Volfovich.
